Nitrogen Fertilizer Greenfield Complex Project - Midwest United States
High-Level Scope
Installation of a world-class greenfield nitrogen fertilizer complex that included a 3,300 metric tonnes per day (MTPD) ammonia plant, 3,850 MTPD urea plant, 1,500 MTPD urea ammonium nitrate (UAN) plant and a 530 MTPD nitric acid plant. The scope also included installation of all new utilities, off-site storage (60,000 MT ammonia, 60,000 MT UAN & 140,000 MT urea) and rail facilities.
Project Responsibilities & Deliverables
Led this project up to the end of the process study (FEL-1) phase numerous compliments from executive management on the on the level of detail and high quality of deliverables produced. The major deliverables associated with this project included the development & completion of the following items:
Project charter; initial contract strategy development; EPC services expression of interest (EOI) and request for proposal (RFP) packages including bid tab review for ranking and selection purposes; process licensor selection support; preliminary process design packages; initial environmental regulatory strategy development, preliminary project execution plans; project resourcing plan; Class 5 project estimate support including all direct and indirect costs as well as basis of estimate documentation; project resourcing plans; preliminary project and construction execution plans; qualitative risk assessments (risk registers) and initial project AFE phase development and submissions.
